Install memovu on your Android phone. On a Fire TV (with Fire OS), add the free memovu app — Chromecast and DLNA TVs need nothing extra.
Connect your TV
Scan the QR code shown on your TV — once. After that, memovu reconnects automatically.

Your photos don't go to the internet.
memovu has no servers, no account, no sign-up and no analytics of our own. Your photos and videos go directly from your phone to your TV and stay on your home network — there is nowhere for the app to upload them to. License codes are verified offline on your device, too.
To be honest: the control connection to the memovu app on Fire TV is encrypted (TLS with certificate pinning). The photos and videos themselves currently travel unencrypted on your home network, protected by a secret access key — fine on your own password-protected Wi-Fi; on third-party networks, use your phone's hotspot. And three Google components (purchases through Google Play, Google Cast, QR scanner) may send technical diagnostic data to Google; in the web video browser Google Safe Browsing checks the addresses you open. Everything else is in the privacy policy.

Which TVs does memovu work with?
Best with a Fire TV with Fire OS (e.g. Fire TV Stick 4K Max, older sticks, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV smart TVs) and the free memovu app from the Amazon Appstore — not with the new Vega OS sticks (4K Select, Stick HD 2026, 4K 2026), which cannot install the app. Also with Chromecast and Google TV, and with Samsung, LG and other DLNA-capable TVs, including older models; there, photos, videos and slideshows work, but not photo frame, music, shared album, mirroring, 4K or event mode.
Does memovu need internet?
No. Photos and videos travel directly from your phone to your TV through your local Wi-Fi — never through anyone's servers. It even works entirely without internet, e.g. via your phone's hotspot. Only the optional web video feature naturally loads content from the internet (with Google Safe Browsing), and three Google components (purchases through Google Play, Google Cast, QR scanner) may send diagnostic data to Google when internet is available.

What does Pro cost?
Pro is a one-time purchase of €19.99 (lifetime — pay once, keep forever), or a subscription at €9.99/year or €2.49/month. You can try Pro for 14 days first — without payment details; the trial ends by itself, a charge is impossible. Pro includes photo frame mode, music slideshow, unlimited slideshows, shared album, mirroring quality levels and 4K/original quality. Except for unlimited slideshows, these features need the memovu app on a Fire TV.
How does event mode work on venue Wi-Fi?
Guests scan a QR code and upload photos directly to the host's phone — everything stays on the local network. Honest answer on the tech: some hotel and venue networks isolate guest devices from each other ("AP isolation") — then phones can't see each other. The reliable fix: use the host phone's hotspot. That works everywhere, even with no internet at all.
Can I cancel the subscription anytime?
Yes, directly via Google Play — two taps, no questions asked. After cancelling, the core feature of course remains free to use. And the 14-day trial is not a subscription at all: it ends by itself because no payment details are stored. The Event Pro license and event pass are not subscriptions either and end by themselves.
